Saturday's game is set to tip off at 2 p.m. CT at the Al McGuire Center and will stream on ESPN+.
THE STARTING FIVE
- Marquette dropped its third game of BIG EAST play on Wednesday night at Seton Hall. In each of the last four seasons, the Golden Eagles have lost at least three of its first eight games in conference play.
- Halle Vice recorded her BIG EAST leading seventh double-double of the season on Wednesday. Five of those have come in the last six games. Without one double-double in her first three BIG EAST games, Vice has four in her last five league contests.
- Combined with Preseason Naismith Watch List selection Skylar Forbes, the duo have been a problem for opposing teams in the BIG EAST. Through eight conference games, the Vice and Forbes have combined to average 32.0 points, 16.2 rebounds, 5.1 assists, 2.0 steals and 1.9 blocks per game.
- In what was viewed as a weakness in Cara Consuegra's first year, the 3-ball has become a strength for the Golden Eagles in Year 2 following an offseason commitment from her team. MU sits second in the country at 39.5%, a 8.8% increase from last year. Five of the eight players with at least 10 attempts are shooting above a 40% clip.
- Marquette's strength this season comes in its experience and continuity as the program is the only one in Division I women's college basketball to return all of its players from the 2024-25 season.
BY THE NUMBERS
13 - Jaidynn Mason is closing in on 1,000 points for her collegiate career. 433 of her 987 points have been scored for the Golden Eagles.

LINING UP THE 20s
Marquette is one of 13 teams in country this season to have at least five players score 20 points in game. All five primary Marquette starters have at least one 20-point game this year after Olivia Porter scored 23 on Jan. 8.
- Of the 13 schools with at least five, six have had six players score 20 or more in a game this season.
- Ten of the 13 schools have seen each of its its primary starters record a 20-point game this year.
- MU's starters have combined to post 14 20-point games this season.
PROTECTING THE AL
Since Cara Consuegra took over last season, the Golden Eagles have been dominant at the Al McGuire Center. In 24 games on its home court, Marquette has lost just three times.
- This season, MU is 8-1 at home with seven of those wins coming by double digits. Four of those wins have been by 25 or more.
- MU dropped its first home game of the season on Dec. 29 to St. John's (73-66).
STRETCHING THE FLOOR
Year 1 under Cara Consuegra saw the Golden Eagles struggle from outside, shooting just 30.7% which ranked 194th in the nation. During the offseason, changing that was a point of emphasis. Through nine games, Marquette is shooting 39.5%, an 8.8% increase, which is fourth in the NCAA.
- Five Golden Eagles are shooting north of 40%.
- The increased efficiency from beyond the arc has also resulted in more 3-pointers per game as MU is averaging 8.4 per game (36th in the NCAA), an increase of 3.2 from last season.
- Through 17Â games, Marquette has six games with double-digit made 3-pointers. In four of the previous five years, MU had just one or fewer such games. Like this season, the 2023-24 season saw six such games.
A WALKING DOUBLE-DOUBLE
Recording her seventh double-double of the season on Jan. 14, Halle Vice continues to lead the BIG EAST in the category. The junior had just one double-double through the first five weeks of the season but has recorded six during an eight-game stretch from Dec. 14-Jan. 14.
- Her stretch of four straight games (Dec. 20-Jan. 4) with a double-double is the longest stretch of consecutive double-doubles by a Golden Eagle since Erika Davenport had a double-double in five straight games in 2019 (Jan. 11-25).
- Vice's seven double-doubles ranks 25th in the NCAA.
VICE GRIP
Marquette's top rebounder a season ago, preseason All-BIG EAST selection Halle Vice has showed no let up on the glass this year, leading the team 13 times. The junior's 9.4 rebounds per game currently leads the BIG EAST. The junior is grabbing 10.1 per conference game, making her the only player to average a double-double in league games.
- Vice has had double-digit rebounding numbers eight times this season.
- Vice's career-high 19 rebounds at Xavier were the second-most by a BIG EAST player this season.
