CLEVELAND - The Division I-AAA Athletics Directors Association (DI-AAA ADA) announced that Marquette University's Lee Volker was selected to the 2026 Scholar-Athlete Team on Wednesday morning.
Holding a 3.79 GPA, Volker, who completed her athletic eligibility this past season, will earn her MBA this spring after previously earning her undergraduate degree in corporate communications. She is a two-time BIG EAST All-Academic selection, a 2026 CSC All-District honoree, and has been on Marquette's AD honor roll each of her semesters on campus.
On the court, Volker is a two-time All-BIG EAST selection, finishing her three years at MU with an efficient 40.1% shooting from 3, the second-highest percentage in program history. The Purceville, Virginia, native averaged double figures each of the past two seasons (12.6 ppg and 11.9 ppg), and finished her career averaging 9.3 points per game. Volker made 105 3-pointers during her three seasons at MU, knocking down a career-best 58 this year as she shot 42.3% beyond the arc.Â
Basketball players from all Division I-AAA ADA member institutions are eligible for these prestigious annual awards. Each of the nominees is required to maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.20 (4.00 scale) in undergraduate study and have been a starter or important reserve with legitimate athletics credentials.
