The Marquette University women's tennis team fell 7-0, Friday afternoon to Xavier in Golden Eagle territory.
Xavier opened the match by taking the crucial doubles point with wins at the No. 1 and 3 positions.
The Musketeers then picked up six straight-set singles victories to secure the win.
Elise Barnstedt saw her match go into an extended sets as she took the first set 7-6, but Barnstedt was outlasted in the second and third sets.
