Abbott was the only Golden Eagle that saw their match go into extended sets. Abbott won the first set but Sophie Ahlberg responded in the second. It was Abbott that came out on top and secured the point for MU.
Coach Barnett on the win:
"Good gritty Big East road win today. Â We rebounded very well after a disappointing match yesterday. Â Elena and Maria come up huge for us in doubles, clinching from 5-2 down. Â We were able to relax a little after being up 1-0 and played very confident singles getting up 4-0 quick. Very proud of everyone for how they competed today. Â We're excited to make it back home and play our last two matches of the regular season at Marquette!"
