Golden Eagles will close March on the road against UConn and Providence
The Marquette University women's tennis team fell 7-0, Saturday afternoon to Illinois State at the Gregory Street Tennis Courts.
The Redbirds opened the match by taking the crucial doubles point with wins at the No. 2 and 3 positions.
Illinois State then picked up six straight-set singles victories to secure the win.
Four Golden Eagles saw their matches go into extended sets with Emma Davis, Aiyana Abbott, and Luciana Mendoza claiming first set wins. Elena Duva dropped the first set, but took the second set to force a third.
