First serve set for 6 p.m. CT
The Marquette University men's tennis team (0-0) opens the dual portion of its 2018-19 campaign Saturday night when the squad travels to Ames, Iowa, to face Iowa (0-0) in non-league action.
First serve is set for 6 p.m. CT. The Hawkeyes host Western Michigan earlier in the afternoon.
The Golden Eagles, who return eight letterwinners and nearly the entire lineup from last year's BIG EAST Championship team, are looking for their first-ever win at Iowa.
"Our guys have been working really hard and Saturday presents a great opportunity to see where we are at," head coach Steve Rodecap said. "It's always a challenge to play on the road, but we return a lot of experience and we have also added some quality to our depth with the freshmen."
Following Saturday's action, the Golden Eagles will return to Helfaer Tennis Stadium to host Georgetown (Jan. 25) and UIC (Jan. 26).
