
Marquette Sweeps Xavier 7-0

The Marquette University men's tennis team (13-5) completed a weekend sweep of BIG EAST opponents Sunday afternoon, downing Xavier (5-14), 7-0, at Helfaer Tennis Stadium.
The Golden Eagles, who also defeated Creighton 5-2 on Friday afternoon, are now 10-0 at home this season. MU wraps up the home portion of its regular season schedule on Friday, April 13 at 6 p.m. when the squad hosts Butler.
MU claimed the doubles point with wins at the top-two positions and quickly claimed a trio of straight-set victories in singles to quickly earn the team decision.
Earning wins for Marquette were Brett Meyers, Eddie Griesedieck, Luke Smrek, Alvaro Verdu.
