Men's Soccer Earns NSCAA/adidas Team Academic Award

MILWAUKEE - The Marquette men's soccer team was named a recipient of the 2009 NSCAA/adidas College Men's Team Academic Award for the 2008-09 academic year.
The honor, given to programs which post a team grade point average of 3.0 of higher, was awarded to 143 men's teams following the season. The Golden Eagles recorded a collective 3.00 GPA under head coach Louis Bennett.
The Golden Eagles are one of six BIG EAST schools to have both the men's and women's soccer teams recognized with the award bestowed by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
Marquette also received the honor in 2000 under former head coach Steve Adlard as a member of Conference USA.
