Golden Eagles look to finish season strong in Connecticut.
The Marquette University track and field teams are set to wrap up the 2025-26 season at the 2026 BIG EAST Outdoor Track and Field Championships this Thursday-Saturday at the Sherman Sports Complex in Storrs, Conn. The entirety of the meet will air on ESPN+.
2026 BIG EAST CHAMPIONSHIPS SCHEDULE
Marquette's sprint group enters the BIG EAST Championships as one of its strongest units, led by freshman Blake Frea, who ranks No. 3 in the 400m (46.93) and No. 4 in the 200m (21.49). He is joined by Bobby King, the No. 8 performer in the 200m (21.66), giving the Golden Eagles multiple scoring threats in the short sprints. That depth carries into the relays, where Marquette ranks No. 3 in the 4x100 (41.81) and No. 4 in the 4x400 (3:11.73), positioning both squads firmly in podium contention.
MULTI-EVENT DOMINANCE
The decathlon gives Marquette one of its clearest advantages, with three athletes ranked in the conference's top six. Senior Gus Kasun leads the group at No. 4 (6,759 points), followed closely by Cole Donahe (No. 5, 6,400) and Henrik Rosario (No. 6, 6,351). With multiple scorers in a single event, the Golden Eagles are positioned to stack points and swing momentum early in the meet.
JUMPS GROUP PROVIDES MULTIPLE SCORING PATHWAYS
Marquette's jumps squad brings strong depth across events, led by Russell Czerwinski, who ranks No. 4 in the high jump (1.96m). The triple jump features three top-10 athletes, represented by John Pitta (No. 5, 13.95m), Jude Anderson (No. 7, 13.44m), and Czerwinski (No. 8, 13.40m), while Henrik Rosario ranks No. 4 in the long jump (6.91m). In the pole vault, Mason Cornwell (No. 4, 4.53m) and Matthew Ferrario (No. 5, 4.41m) round out a group capable of producing points across multiple field events.
WOMEN'S THROWS AND JAVELIN SHOW TITLE-LEVEL SCORING UPSIDE
The women's throws group is highlighted by one of the strongest event duos in the conference and the country, as Riley Ward leads the BIG EAST in the javelin at No. 1 (47.22m), while Tessa Hollander ranks No. 2 (43.74m). Ally Broaddus adds major point potential as the No. 4 performer in both the discus (44.61m) and hammer (51.10m), giving Marquette multiple high-end scoring opportunities in the throws.
WOMEN'S RELAYS AND FIELD DEPTH ROUND OUT SCORING
Marquette's women's 4x400 relay ranks No. 5 (3:48.00) and the 4x100 sits No. 7 (47.99), keeping both groups in scoring position. In the field, the pole vault group adds depth with Kaitlyn Huebner (No. 5, 3.53m), Kassidy Papa (No. 7, 3.48m), and Alexis Boyer (No. 8, 3.40m), while Haley Schaffer ranks No. 8 in the long jump (5.75m).
