The Golden Eagles used singles play to secure the match
ORLANDO, FLA. - The Marquette University men's tennis team logged a 4-3 win over Fairfield on Wednesday afternoon.
The Golden Eagles fell early as Fairfield captured the doubles point with wins in the second and third positions.
Fairfield earned two singles wins on courts two and four, but MU battled back picking up four singles wins.
Blake Roegner saw his match go into extended sets after dropping the first set 6-3 to Krolikowski. Roegner responded in the second taking the win 7-6 and then taking the superset 10-5. Luke Coppage also saw three sets as he took the first set 6-2 over Otin. Otin battled back in the second to take the 6-2 win and force the extra set. In the superset, Coppage closed out his match with a 10-6 win.
Clayton Anderson defeated Jessett in a 7-5, 6-2 effort. Ivan Vazquez also won in straight set outing, defeating Aguiar 7-5, 6-3.
