SCOUTING THE CHIPPEWAS
Central Michigan opened its 2026 season on Feb. 8 at No. 25 Notre Dame in a 0-25 loss, and enters the year coming off a 5–10 campaign in 2025. Senior attacker Kelsey Barratt returns as their top scoring threat with 12 goals and 20 points last season, while junior defender Ava Regitz anchors the defense after posting 27 caused turnovers—second‑most in program history. In goal, senior Leila Kahler takes over the starting job after backing up 2024 MAC Goalkeeper of the Year Alexa Martel.

Graduate student Hanna Bodner (Midfielder of the Week) and senior Tess Osburn (Attacker of the Week) earned the first pair of BIG EAST honors of the season, as announced on Tuesday.
