Dragovic picks up singles win at No. 2
The Marquette University men's tennis team (3-11) concluded play at the Battle at the Beach, hosted by UNC-Wilmington, with a 4-2 loss to Monmouth (11-3) Sunday morning.
The Golden Eagles opened the tournament with a 4-2 win over Bryant on Friday and dropped a 4-1 decision to host UNCW on Saturday.
For the second-straight day the Golden Eagles opened the match by claiming the doubles point, but were unable to secure enough points for the team victory. Stefan Dragovic was the lone MU player to earn a singles win, downing his opponent 7-5, 6-2 at No. 2.
UP NEXT: Marquette travels to Des Moines, Iowa this weekend to face Oral Roberts (March 26) and Drake (March 27).
