Kojcic, Windbuchler claim singles wins
The Marquette University women's tennis team (2-2) dropped a 5-2 decision at Notre Dame (7-3) Saturday afternoon in non-conference action on the road.
The loss snapped a two-match winning streak for Marquette, which is still looking for its first road victory early in 2021.
The Fighting Irish opened the match by claiming the doubles point, winning at the No. 1 and 3 positions. MU's duo of Natalija Popovic and Elisabeth Desmarais was able to claim a 6-2 win at No. 2.

Marquette received singles wins from sophomore Tiana Windbuchler and freshman Emilija Kojcic. Windbuchler claimed a decision at No. 6 in a tiebreaker and Kojcic claimed the first set 6-4 before her opponent retired because of injury.
The Golden Eagles return to action on Sunday, Feb. 21 when the team travels to BIG EAST rival DePaul. First serve is set for 4 p.m. CT.
