Golden Eagles begin three-match home stand
MILWAUKEE – The Marquette University women's tennis team will host BIG EAST foe DePaul University this Thursday, Feb. 27, followed by a matchup with Xavier University on Saturday, Feb. 29 at the Helfaer Tennis & Recreation Center.
The Golden Eagles (5-5) hope to add to their three-match winning streaking. Eyes will be on the doubles competition as the team is 5-1 after winning the doubles point.
The Blue Demons (4-6) are coming off two losses against Iowa and Kansas State and have dropped six of their last seven. The team has yet to win on the road.
Xavier's Musketeers (5-4) have won two straight, most recently sweeping Cleveland State.
Both matchups mark the start of BIG EAST for the opposing teams. Thursday's battle is scheduled for 5 p.m. CT while doubles play on Saturday is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. CT.
