Track hosts Marquette Midweek Challenge on Wednesday

The Golden Eagles will also send athletes to Drake and UW-Whitewater later this week

MILWAUKEE – The Marquette University men's and women's track and field teams host the Marquette Midweek Challenge, their second home meet of the season, on Wednesday afternoon in Milwaukee.
The meet is slated to begin at noon Central time with the women's javelin at the MU Throws Field (just west of S. 6th and Canal Street) and the women's long jump at the Melvin "Bus" Shimek Track & Field Facility at Valley Fields.
Events on the track begin with the women's 4x100-meter relay at 4:30 p.m. and will conclude following the men's 200-meter dash at roughly 6 p.m.
In addition to Wednesday's meet in the Valley, the Golden Eagles will send athletes to the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa on Thursday through Saturday and a meet at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater on Saturday.
Following this weekend's action, the Golden Eagles have one meet remaining at Wisconsin on May 3 before the BIG EAST Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Icahn Stadium in New York City on May 10-11.
