Marquette Downs UIC 7-0 To Conclude Weekend Action

MU has now won 13-straight at home
The Marquette University men's tennis team (2-1) wrapped up weekend non-conference action with a victory over UIC Saturday afternoon at Helfaer Tennis Stadium.
MU has now won 13-straight decisions at home dating back to the start of the 2017-18 campaign.
Marquette opened the match by claiming the doubles point, courtesy of a 6-3 win by juniors Luke Smrek and Brett Meyers at No. 2. Meyers was the first off the court with a straight-set win at No. 4 and Smrek clinched the team victory thanks to a 6-2, 6-2 final at the No. 1 spot.
The Golden Eagles open a four-match road swing at Purdue on Feb. 2 when the team returns to action.
