
Marquette Drops a 6-1 Decision at Indiana

BLOOMINGTON, Ind.-- The Marquette women's tennis team was back at full strength on Saturday as the Golden Eagles traveled to Indiana, falling to the Hoosiers, 6-1.
Marquette (1-2) played Indiana (5-0) tough with four of the six singles matches going into three sets, though Milica Novakovic was the Golden Eagles lone point of the day, winning at No. 3 singles, 4-6, 6-4, 6-3.
Natalija Popovic forced a third set at No. 2 singles, dropping a 4-6, 7-5, 2-6 mark, while Isabella Franks closed the match forcing three sets at the No. 5 position, 6-4, 5-7, 2-6.
Marquette is next in action on Friday, Feb. 9 at Minnesota at 2 p.m. CT.
