#20 Marquette Hosts #14 Buffalo Friday Night At 7:30 p.m. CT

The No. 20/23 Marquette University men's basketball team (9-2, 0-0 BIG EAST) hosts No. 14/15 Buffalo (11-0, 0-0 MAC) Friday night for a top-20 matchup at 7:30 p.m. in Fiserv Forum. FS1 will feature the television coverage, with Brian Anderson (play-by-play) and Stephen Bardo (analyst) calling the action. Following Friday night's contest (first meeting) against the Bulls, MU players will scatter across the country to spend Christmas with friends and family before returning to action vs. Southern on Dec. 28.

MU Pulls Away To Extend Winning Streak

The Golden Eagles pulled away from North Dakota midway through the first half Tuesday night, claiming a 92-66 victory, the team's sixth in a row.

The team's current winning streak matches the program's longest since the 2015-16 campaign, when MU rattled off eight-straight decisions prior to the start of conference play.

Over the course of the last six games, Markus Howard leads the team with 26.2 points per game and forward Ed Morrow has picked up his production, chipping in 9.0 points and 5.8 rebounds per contest.

At the defensive end, Marquette has held opponents to 40.7 percent shooting from the field overall, including a 26.1 percent mark from behind the 3-point line.

Morrow Makes Most Of Minutes In UND Win

Junior forward Ed Morrow was pressed into early action in the win over North Dakota after Theo John picked up a pair of fouls.

The Chicago, Illinois, native made the most of his time on the court, responding with his best all-around game at Marquette. In 24 minutes of action, he chipped in a season-best 18 points (7-of-11 shooting), eight rebounds, two assists, two steals and a pair of blocks.

Marquette Finds Offense During Finals Week

Marquette's offensive attack was well rested after a 10-day break to focus on finals and the result was an impressive display in the win over North Dakota.

The Golden Eagles posted season highs in field goal percentage (58.6) and field goals made (34) and connected on double-digit 3-pointers (11) for the fourth time. The team's 92 points also matched a season best.
