The Marquette University men's basketball team (8-2, 0-0 BIG EAST) returns to the court on Tuesday, Dec. 18 at 8 p.m. CT when the squad hosts North Dakota (5-5, 0-0 Summit) at Fiserv Forum in non-conference action. FS Wisconsin will feature the television broadcast, with Brian Anderson (play-by-play) and Dickey Simpkins (analyst) calling the action. Tuesday's outing will be the first for MU since Dec. 8, when the team took a break from the game schedule to focus on finals. After the matchup with the Fighting Hawks, the Golden Eagles host Buffalo on Dec. 21 before scattering across the country to spend Christmas with friends and family.

Lace Up 4 Pediatric Cancer began in the fall of 2011. Since then, professional, college and youth teams have participated in raising funds and awareness for the No. 1 disease killer of children. To date, over a half million athletes have supported the cause. $4 from every $5 pair of laces (both teams will be wearing special Gold shoelaces) and 100 percent of all donations directly benefit kids and families in the state where the funds are raised.

Hauser's stat line in the overtime win against Wisconsin illustrates his value to the program. In nearly 41 minutes of action, he chipped in 13 points and a career-high 14 rebounds. He also found time to dish out four assists, force a steal and didn't turn it over on a single occasion.
Â
Saturday's rebound total marked a career high for the eldest Hauser, who now owns three double-doubles in his career (vs. Presbyterian earlier
this season).
Â
Hauser is currently ranked among the league leaders in scoring (15th, 14.1 ppg.), rebounding (10th, 7.0 rpg.), free throw percentage (3rd, .870), 3-pt field goals made (8th, 2.5 pg.) and defensive rebounds per game (4th, 5.9 drpg.).
Howard One Of Nation's Top Volume Scorers
Junior guard Markus Howard, who is already 23rd on the school's all-time scoring list, is currently second in the BIG EAST in scoring (22.9 ppg.).
Â
The Chandler, Arizona, native posted his fifth 20-point game of the year in the win over Wisconsin and has now surpassed the mark a total of 24 times since 2016-17.
Â
Howard has netted 30-or-more points on nine occasions, ranking him fifth among current active players in NCAA Division I (through games of Dec. 16, courtesy Stats., Inc.). Mike Daum of South Dakota State has 27 career 30-point efforts in his career and Campbell's Chris Clemons is right behind with 19 of his own.
Â
Since 1963-64, no Marquette player owns as many 30-point outbursts as Howard.
Â
The Golden Eagles are 2-0 this year in extra-session outings with wins over Louisville and Wisconsin. Under head coach Steve Wojciechowski, Marquette is an impressive 9-2 when the final was unable to be determined in regulation.

Sam Hauser Doubles Up In UW Victory       Â
While junior forward Sam Hauser might not be one of the flashiest players in the country, it's difficult to argue he isn't one of the most consistent.      Â
