PEORIA, Illinois – The Marquette University men's and women's cross country teams travel to Peoria, Illinois, for the annual Bradley "Pink" Classic on Friday, Oct. 12 at Newman Golf Course.

This year's event is open invite to all Division I, II and II teams, consisting of 39 total squads. BIG EAST opponents Butler, DePaul, Creighton and Xavier will be participating as well.

The 2018 Bradley "Pink" Classic is comprised of two races per gender with an additional mixed-gender open race. The women will run a 6-kilometer course, while the men are set to compete on an 8-kilometer course. The varsity races begin at 3:15 p.m. CT for the women and 4 p.m. CT for the men after both mixed-gender open races take place at 2:30 p.m. CT.

The squad most recently competed at the Greater Louisville Classic where just about everyone recorded a personal-best time on the fast course at Tom Sawyer Park. The men finished tied for 14th place out of 29 teams, while the women took 17th place out of 26 teams.

For the third-consecutive race, seniors Jon Klaiber (32nd) and Mary Hanson (42nd) paced their respective squads.

Marquette has one final tune-up before the BIG EAST Championships when it travels to the Illini Open on Friday, Oct. 19.
