At Lake Zurich: Heading into her senior year, Martin scored 17 career goals and 29 assists. In her high school career, she been named a All-Conference and All-State selection. Her high school placed third in the state last season. She is also a member of the Eclipse Select Club which won state titles in 2001 and 2002. The team advanced to the Region II championships in 2001 and advanced to the national championship. She was also a member of the National Honor Society.

Personal: Martin was born on September 16, 1984, in Downers Grove, Ill. She is the daughter of Edward and Debra Martin. She has an older sister, Lisa, and a younger sister, Kim. Her father was a swimmer at Iowa and her sister, Lisa, played soccer at Louisville and for the Chicago Cobras of the W-League. She plans to major in Spanish and speech pathology.
