Outdoor (Fr.): Competed in eight events … Set a 100h PR of 14.89 seconds at the BIG EAST Outdoor Championships (May 16) … Part of the team that set a program record of 1:02.52 in the shuttle hurdle relay at the Drake Relays (April 23).
Indoor (Fr.): Competed in seven events … Set a 60h PR at the BIG EAST Indoor Championships (March 1) at 9.44 seconds.
High School: Four-year letterwinner at Lake Zurich High School … Hurdle captain junior and senior year … Six-time conference champion … 12 Sport Athlete Award … 100 and 200 point club for track … School record 100h PR of 15.18 … 300h PR of 46.16 … Also did gymnastics and cheerleading.
Personal: Daughter of Matthew Verden and Megan Kerr … Has one brother, Nicholas … Plans to major in psychology.
Why Marquette: “When I visited I thought the campus was beautiful and all of the staff and people I talked to were incredibly nice. I knew Marquette was a great school for academics and athletics. I also thought Coach Rogers seemed like a great coach and I wanted to be a part of the track program.”
