Leigh Selected to Preseason All-BIG EAST Team

Golden Eagles tabbed seventh in Preseason Poll
NEW YORK – Junior forward Jocelyn Leigh of the Marquette University women's soccer team was named to the 2026 Preseason All-BIG EAST Conference Team, the league announced on Monday. The Golden Eagles were also tabbed seventh in the BIG EAST Conference Preseason Poll.
The 2025 All-BIG EAST Second Team selection led the Golden Eagles with a team-high 15 points and seven goals. She also recorded one assist and fired 12 shots on frame. Leigh was the first Golden Eagle since the 2022 season to be named to an All-Conference team. Elsi Twombly was the last to earn the honor.
Marquette finished 7-7-4 overall and 3-4-3 in the BIG EAST last season. Georgetown claimed the top spot in the poll with 98 points and eight first-place votes. UConn finished second with 89 points, and defending champion Xavier took third with 78 points and one first-place vote. Creighton and Villanova rounded out the top five, followed by Providence in sixth. Butler, St. John's, DePaul and Seton Hall completed the 11-team poll.
