Men's Golf Finishes 10th at Windon Memorial Classic

Senior Johan Widal squad's top finisher, finishing 14th
The Marquette University men's golf team continued its 2025-25 campaign with a 10th-place finish at the Windon Memorial Classic on Tuesday afternoon, hosted by Northwestern.
The 54-hole event, played at the Knollwood Club, featured a 16-team field and the tourney title was claimed by Illinois (-36).
Senior Johan Widal was one of three Golden Eagles to finish in the top-25, leading the way with a final round of 67 to earn a share of 14th overall. Widal's 18-hole score to conclude the tourney was the team's low effort of the week. One of Tuesday's highlights was an eagle by junior Ryan Banas on the sixth hole (Par 5, 504 yards).
After shooting five over as a team in the opening round, the Golden Eagles combined to shoot 15 under the rest of the way.
UP NEXT: The Golden Eagles continue the fall campaign when the program hosts the Marquette Intercollegiate at Erin Hills on Oct. 5-7.
