Golden Eagles enter final week of BIG EAST regular season
The Marquette University women's basketball team hosts Xavier on Thursday, Feb. 27 at 6:30 p.m. CT at the Al McGuire Center. The BIG EAST Digital Network on FloCollege features the broadcast with Bob Brainerd (pxp) and Chloe Marotta (analyst) on the call.
Following Saturday's game, the Golden Eagles travel to No. 5/5 UConn on Sunday March 2 at 1 p.m. CT on FS1.
ALL-TIME SERIES AGAINST XAVIER
• Marquette and Xavier are meeting for the 32nd time on Thursday night.
• Marquette leads the all-time series, 24-7 and have won the last 17 meetings, the longest win streak over a BIG EAST opponent.
FIRST MEETING THIS SEASON
• Marquette beat Xavier 67-38 on Wednesday, Jan. 29.
• Lee Volker led MU with 20 points on a career-high four 3-pointers.
• Skylar Forbes added 17 points, three assists and two rebounds. Halle Vice had 13 points, six rebounds and a career-high four steals.
• The Golden Eagles led wire-to-wire and led by as many as 31 in the fourth quarter, their largest lead over a BIG EAST opponent this season.
• Marquette held Xavier to 14 first half points, the lowest opponent first half total this season.

MASON SHINES IN WIN AT GEORGETOWN
• Jaidynn Mason led Marquette with 18 points on 8-of-15 shooting with four assists in the road win at Georgetown Saturday night.
• 14 of her 18 points came in the first half.
• Mason hit a driving layup with 13 seconds left to give MU a 53-50 lead.
CONSUEGRA MAKES HISTORY IN WIN AT GEORGETOWN
• Cara Consuegra earned her fifth BIG EAST road win of the season on Saturday night at Georgetown, the most conference road wins by a first-year head coach in program history.
