Natalie Ring (3rd Team) and Hattie Bray (Honorable Mention) earn national honors from the AVCA
MILWAUKEE, Wis. - Marquette volleyball student-athletes Natalie Ring and Hattie Bray earned All-American honors from the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA), as announced by the coaching organization Wednesday afternoon. After standout 2025 campaigns, Ring earned Third Team All-American honors, while Bray earned Honorable Mention All-American honors for the Golden Eagles.
Ring became the first Marquette student-athlete since Allie Barber (2nd Team, 2018) and third in program history to earn a spot on the first, second, or third team All-American lists, being named to the third team after a stellar season. Ring led the Golden Eagles in nearly all offensive statistics on the 2025 campaign and ranked in the top-25 in the NCAA in kills (497, 25th), points (557.5, 24th), kills per set (4.60, 17th), and points per set (5.16, 13th). Ring also earned All-BIG EAST honors and AVCA First Team All-North Region honors for her offensive prowess on the outside for Marquette. She earns her first-career All-American award with the third team honor.
Bray ended her career at Marquette earning Honorable Mention All-American honors, the first of her career. Bray ranked first in the BIG EAST and 60th nationally in total blocks (132) and blocks per set (1.22), while ranking fourth in the league and 48th in the NCAA in hitting percentage (.376), all leading the Golden Eagles in those categories. Bray also received All-BIG EAST and AVCA First Team All-North Region honors. Bray ends her stellar career at Marquette ranking 15th in program history in total kills (1,062), fourth in hitting percentage (.332), sixth in total blocks (408), and seventh in assisted blocks (331).Â
With the selections, Marquette has had a student-athlete recognized by the AVCA as an All-American (honorable mention or above) for the second-straight season and 13th time in the past 15 seasons dating back to 2010. The duo is the seventh in program history to earn multiple All-American honors in the same season.
