Senior women's tennis player is a public relations major

MILWAUKEE – Senior women's tennis player Tiera Jarmond is the Blue & Gold Student-Athlete of the Month for Jan. 2025, as chosen by Marquette Athletics' Academics and Student Programs staff.

Tiera Jarmond is a senior public relations major who has earned Dean's List, Athletic Director's Honor Roll each semester at Marquette, in addition to Academic All-BIG EAST Conference accolades. During the summer of 2024, she was an intern in the compliance department at UCLA Athletics and she currently works in the Marquette Athletics communications office.

She involved with Marquette Mentors, as a student mentee and served on the Student Sport Planning Committee in 2024, and was a panel speaker for the Women in Sport Forum in 2024.

Jarmond earned eight singles victories during her junior campaign and strung together seven-straight wins last season in doubles action while paired with Emilija Kojcic. She went 4-3 in singles play during this fall and captured her first singles match this spring in the No. 2 spot at Western Michigan on Jan. 17. Jarmond is 8-3 in doubles play in 2024-25, including mark of 6-1 during the fall semester with Andie Weise.
