Companies interested in participating encouraged to connect
On Wednesday, Oct. 30, the Marquette University Athletic Department will hold a Student-Athlete NIL/Career Networking Night in the Al McGuire Center from 6:45-8:30 p.m. CT.
The purpose of the event is to give student-athletes the opportunity to make connections in their respective academic fields of interests and to gain professional insights. This event will also serve to connect student-athletes with businesses that are interested in name, image and likeness partnerships. Marquette's over 300 student-athletes are comprised of majors that span across all seven of the University's colleges.
Whether they plan on playing professionally in their respective sport, or hold professional aspirations in the business, health care, or education worlds; student-athletes hope to expand their network of contacts and to seek professional advice about their future industries.
Companies in attendance in the past included Baird, Fiserv, Milwaukee Bucks, Turner Sports, Northwestern Mutual, Under Armour and Pepsi.
In addition to the networking event, there will be a brief presentation on NIL opportunities and partnerships with Marquette student-athletes. Companies currently recruiting for internships or full-time employment, or professionals interested in attending the career night, please contact Meaghan Hau in the athletic department (meaghan.hau@marquette.edu)Â or by phone at 414-288-5786.
