MTEN Falls 5-2 To Omaha Sunday Afternoon

Golden Eagles continue homestand next weekend
The Marquette University men's tennis team (2-5) dropped a 5-2 decision to Omaha (3-6) Sunday afternoon in non-conference action at Helfaer Tennis Stadium.
The Mavericks opened the match by narrowly claiming the doubles point, earning 7-6 and 7-5 wins at No. 1 and No. 3, respectively. Omaha would then claim the necessary three singles decisions to secure the team win.
Marquette's Jan Jauch and Elijah Zifferblatt got MU on the board. Jauch earned a straight-set victory at No. 4 and Zifferblatt claimed a 7-5, 2-6, 7-5 win at No. 6.
UP NEXT: Marquette returns to action on Friday, Feb. 18 when the team hosts Toledo to continue a five-match homestand.
