Marquette Drops a 6-1 Contest at Michigan State

Milica Novakovic is the sole point for the Golden Eagles
EAST LANSING, Mich.-- The Marquette women's tennis team opened a seven-game road stretch this weekend and despite a tough match at Michigan State, fell in the the opener, 6-1 on Friday evening.
Milica Novakovic was the lone point for th Golden Eagles (5-4), winning her No. 3 singles match in a comeback victory, 5-7, 7-5, 1-0 (10-5). Isabella Franks fought hard at No. 4 singles storming back after dropping the first set, but ultimately fell, 4-6, 6-2, 1-0 (10-8).
The Golden Eagles have a short turnaround and will be back on the courts on Saturday, Feb. 23 at Noon CT facing Dartmouth in East Lansing.
