Women's Tennis Drops 7-0 Match at Iowa

IOWA CITY-The Marquette women's tennis team dropped a 7-0 match at Iowa Sunday afternoon.
Andrea Amortegui played well for the Golden Eagles (1-5) and threatened to take the fourth singles match before dropping the third set. Amortegui and Fleur Eggink also played well on the doubles side, dropping their match by a 6-4 score.
For the Hawkeyes (5-3), Elise van Heuvelen won out of the top singles slot and also took home a doubles victory with Adorabol Huckleby.
Marquette opens a two-match homestand versus Northern Illinois March 2 at 5 p.m. Central time before taking on cross-town rival Milwaukee March 3 at 12 p.m. CT.
