Wilborn Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

Amani Wilborn tallied first career double-double in win over UIC

NEW YORK – Marquette University women's basketball senior guard Amani Wilborn earned a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, the league office announced Monday.

Wilborn tallied 18 points and 10 rebounds for her first career double-double in just 21 minutes of action against UIC on Saturday. She shot .583 percent from the floor and nabbed three steals to help improve the No. 22/19 Golden Eagles to 4-1 on the season.

It's the second career weekly accolade for Wilborn, who was also earned All-BIG EAST Honorable Mention last season.

Marquette squares off against cross-town rival Milwaukee on Wednesday, Nov. 28 at 7 p.m. CT. The game was originally slated for the Al McGuire Center but location is still yet to be determined.
