EVANSTON, Ill.-- The Marquette University women's tennis team finished play at the Wildcat Invitational on Sunday on the campus of Northwestern.
In the round robin singles flight, Isabella Franks topped Simone Park from Lewis University, 6-2, 6-3, while Milica Novakovic picked up a win over Iesha Sheperd from Chicago State, 7-5, 6-0.
Andrea Amortegui also earned a victory, 6-3, 6-4 over Utah's Leah Heimuli.
IN doubles play Novakovic and Amortegui bested UIC's Sheperd and Kostyuk, 7-5.
Marquette has one week off and will return to action at the ITA Regionals and the Arizona Invitational beginning Oct. 12.
