Blockton Named to BIG EAST Honor Roll

NEW YORK-- Marquette University women's basketball sophomore Allazia Blockton was named to the BIG EAST weekly honor roll, the league office announced on Monday.

Blockton led Marquette to a 1-1 week against in-state school with a loss to Green Bay before an 81-75 victory over rival Wisconsin on Sunday. The Milwaukee native averaged 17.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists, while shooting 53.8 percent from the field. Blockton earned her second double-double of the season against the Badgers with 24 points and 10 rebounds.

This is Blockton's second time on the honor roll this season.

Marquette will be back on the court hosting cross-city foe, Milwaukee on Sunday, Dec. 18 at 3:00 p.m. Central time.
