Marquette Wraps Up Play At ITA Midwest Regional

The Marquette University men's tennis team wrapped up play at the 2015 ITA Midwest Regional with doubles competition Saturday night in South Bend, Ind.
MU's No. 1 doubles tandem of senior Daniel Fernandez and freshman Alvaro Verdu opened the day with an 8-7 victory over its opponent from Michigan to advance in the main draw. Marquette's other two doubles squads, which also claimed wins on Friday, were defeated in their respective second round matchups.
The Golden Eagles will wrap up the fall portion of their 2015-16 campaign next weekend at the Louisville Invitational Oct. 30-Nov. 1.
