
MU Completes Day Two of the WMU Super Challenge

Nov. 8, 2014 KALAMAZOO, Mich.-- The Marquette University women's tennis team continued play in day two of the WMU Super Challenge, hosted by Western Michigan University.
Freshman Paula Tormos remains undefeated in singles play, taking down Cincinnati's Hannah Willie 6-3, 6-2 in the Sorenson Flight.
Vanessa Foltinger and Aleeza Kanner also won both of their singles matches. Foltinger defeated her Western Michigan opponent 3-6, 6-2, 1-0 (7) in the White Flight, while Kanner was victories over Cincinnati's Natalie Abdalla in the West Hills Flight, finishing with a 6-3, 6-2 score.
In doubles play, Ali Dawson and Kanner won their match against a duo from Indiana University. The pair finished with a 6-3 win, placing them in the semifinals for the consolation round.
The tournament will resume Sunday morning for the final round of singles and doubles.
