Golden Eagles Conclude Action at Gregory Invitational

NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Four members of the Marquette University men's and women's track and field teams ended their outdoor seasons this weekend at the Gregory Invitational in Naperville, Ill., at Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium.
Redshirt junior Spencer Agnew led the way for the Golden Eagles with a new personal best in the men's 5,000-meter run with a time of 14:59.02, while Marc DiVerde also competed.
Elisia Meyle ran the 10,000-meter run on Thursday evening and placed seventh in 40:03.39.
Senior Cheldon Brown concluded his Marquette career by placing fifth in the high jump with a height of 6 feet, 4 3/4 inches (1.95 meters).
The Golden Eagles return to action on Thursday, May 23 when six student-athletes will compete in the 2013 West Preliminary Rounds of the NCAA Championships in Austin, Texas.
