The Marquette University men's and women's tennis teams saw their respective 2011-12 campaigns come to an early end at the BIG EAST Conference Championship because of poor weather conditions in Tampa, Fla.
Both teams were facing Georgetown in the consolation draw after falling in action on Friday. The men's team had claimed the doubles point against the Hoyas and had won the first set in four of the six singles matches. The women's team started with singles competition against Georgetown and was early on in the competition.
Play will resume Sunday morning with the championship and third-place matches on both the men's and women's sides.
