Golden Eagles to Open BIG EAST Tournament Against DePaul

TAMPA, Fla. - The No. 4 seed Marquette women's tennis team will open the BIG EAST Tournament at Varsity Courts in Tampa, Fla., against No. 5 seed DePaul on Friday at Noon ET.
Marquette (12-12) will be looking to advance to play the winner of No. 1 Notre Dame versus No. 8 Rutgers on Saturday at 9 a.m. The Golden Eagles recently upset then No. 61 DePaul, 4-3, on April 12 to mark Marquette's first win over a ranked opponent since the 2001-02 season.
DePaul (16-5) currently ranked No. 66 in the nation according to the latest ITA Tennis Rankings took care of No. 12 seed Georgetown 4-0 on Thursday to earn its spot in the second round.
