Sophomore Juan-Martin Paredes capped the Marquette University men's tennis team's run at the 2008 Texas Invitational with the consolation title in flight "B" draw.
Paredes, who fell in the opening round of the championship bracket on Friday, capped his weekend with a 6-3, 4-6, 1-0 decision over Beau Berstein of UT-Pan American.
Marquette concluded the Fall portion of its 2008-09 campaign with the weekend's action and next returns to play on Jan. 17 when it hosts UIC in the squad's dual match opener.
