• The Marquette seniors currently have 85 wins for their career.
• Senior Steve Novak finished as the BIG EAST's single-season three point field goals leader with 70.
• Juniors Jamil Lott and Mike Kinsella each played their first game in five games after having missed for mononucleosis and an appendectomy, respectively.
• With 18 points, freshman Wesley Matthews tied his second highest point total of the season and his largest since returning from a mid-season foot injury.
• Freshman Dominic James tied his career high with nine assists.
• Marquette held Providence to 17.4 percent shooting from three point range, the lowest total for a Marquette opponent this season.
• The 24 assists was the second highest total for Marquette this season.
• Sophomore Ousmane Barro recorded a career high with 13 points.
• Novak hit six threes for the eighth time this season and the 12th time in his career.
• With 20 points, Novak had his 10th game of 20 points or more this season and his fourth straight.
• Marquette won its 20th game of the season, marking the third time in head coach Tom Crean's career that he has won 20 or more games.
