- Class:
- 2011
Two-time BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Year Kerry McBride led Marquette's women's soccer team through one of its most successful stretches in program history.
The Elm Grove, Wisconsin native's defensive play led the Golden Eagles to wins in 71 percent of their games from 2008-11. McBride helped lift Marquette to three BIG EAST American Division titles, and four NCAA appearances, including a Sweet 16 in 2010 - that trip happened thanks to her first half goal in the NCAA Second Round against Wisconsin at Valley Fields.
McBride logged 85 career games, with 53 in the starting eleven. She earned on-field NSCAA All-America honors in 2010 and was a CoSIDAÂ Acaademic All-America selection in 2011.
